On this guided metro tour find your way through these opulent stations many resembling palaces that are underground and learn about the history of the stations and Soviet times.

Our Metro tour will take you to the following metro stations

 

Admiralteyskaya Station
Start your tour with Admiralteyskaya station – one of the deepest stations in the world.

Your guide will give you a token to enter the underground and provide you with all instructions and safety rules. Be prepared to spend 5 minutes just going down the escalator, this will probably be the deepest place you’ve ever been to!

 
Pushkinskaya Station
Some of the stations are brand new and look very modern and colorful. You will see two stations that were opened in 2008 and ride on the modern trains. Then will continue on the historical line to see the grand Soviet architecture.

Pushkinskaya station is dedicated to one of the most notable Russian poets – Alexander Pushkin. Come closer to his statue and learn about his creative path, tragic death and why we call him Russian Shakespeare.

 
Kirovski Zavod
Kirovski Zavod is the station dedicated to development of Soviet heavy industry and Soviet industrialization. Walls are decorated with grey marble, obtained in Caucasus region and each of 62 columns are topped with silver-like emblems.

Electrification, coal, metal, oil and gas exploration – try to guess all the symbols of heavy industry depicted on the columns.

 
Narvskaya Station
Continue to the Narvskaya station with the stations main focus The main subjects of this station is “the valour of the labour of Soviet People.”

Learn how ordinary people lived at that time and see the numerous elements represented Soviet-era symbols: hammer and sickles, red stars, and images of red flags.

 
Avtovo Station
Avtovo station is considered by many to be the gem of Saint-Petersburg metro system. The station is dedicated to the heroic defense of the city during the Second World War.

Vostania Station

There is a minimum of two per booking on this tour.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellation fees – Cancellation fees may apply to any cancellations by the traveller of a service provided by Get-Locals.com. Unless otherwise specified, the cancellation policy is as follows:

  1. Cancellations for set tours and made more than 24 hours prior to travel receive a full refund.
  2. Cancellations for set tours made 24 hours or less prior to travel require the traveller to pay for the tour in full, and no refund will be issued.

 

   

     Cancellations for custom itineraries (“Create Your Own”) are as follows:

  • 60+ days to departure – Full refund
  • 59 – 31 days to departure – 50% cancellation fee
  • 30 days and under to departure – 100% cancellation fee

What happens in the event of bad weather?

In the event of bad weather forecast we will contact you the day before and offer you either a refund or an amended tour for the following day.

We always advice to wear suitable clothing for the day of the tour as not every day is guaranteed sunshine.
