Tour Highlights

Palace Square
Get picked up from your hotel or cruise ship and along with your private guide explore the most significant attractions of Saint-Petersburg.

Visit the Palace Square where October Revolution of 1917 took place. Learn why Tsar Nicholas II renounced his throne and why Bolsheviks stormed the Winter Palace

Cruiser Aurora
Take a car (included) and make a photo stop next to cruiser Aurora – the oldest and probably the most famous ship of the Russian Navy and a symbol of the Russian revolution.

Find out why this ship was fundamental to the success of the Revolution, and why over 30 million Soviet citizens have visited Aurora since it became a museum.

Mathilde Kschessinskaya Mansion
Continue your tour to the former mansion of Russian ballerina Mathilde Kschessinskaya – during the October Revolution her home became the headquarters of the Bolshevik party.

Explore the mansion that became the “second home” for Vladimir Lenin and see the famous balcony from which numerous history changing speeches were made.

Museum of Russian Political History
Walks through the mannsion of Kschessinskaya which now has become the Museum of Russian Political History. Take a look into Lenin’s old office and see unique items related to Russian history of the twentieth century.

Numerous documents, pictures and reconstructed interiors will enable you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of that time.

The Soviet State
Learn the origins of Soviet Union and what it was like to live in under a Communist Government. Listen to the stories about ordinary Soviet people and country leaders – Stalin, Khrushchev, Brezhnev and others.

Visit the museums’ expositions and learn about the relationship between man and the state at the crucial moments in the history of the country.

Museum Exhibits
The Museum is full of immersive technologies: touch screens, projections, objects, sounds, voices – the only thing missing is smell.

If you pick up an old phone, you will hear Stalin’s voice, you can touch real riffles of the time of the second World War and feel yourself inside of typical soviet style apartment of 1960’s thanks to reconstructed interiors.

Collapse Of The USSR And Nowadays Russia
Finally understand the reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Union as well as the contemporary history of the country. What was so good about USSR that many Russians miss? What do people think about V. Putin, V. Lenin, J. Stalin and other leaders?

Your guide will answer all of your questions and after the tour you will have an understanding of the origins of the Russian Revolution, the foundations of the USSR and how Russian turbulent history influences its present!

I had 10 people ages 10-85 and we all had a fabulous time. I feel like we saw an amazing amount in the time we were in port. Best money I spent on the entire trip. Soviet Arcade and Subway were such fun for the kids.
